Follow the streets between the main shops
Worcester's shopping centre is a network of streets and smaller passages. The High Street is a useful starting point, but Broad Street, The Shambles, New Street and Friar Street give you reasons to turn off the main route. Reindeer Court adds another group of smaller premises to explore.
Rather than trying to cover every street, choose a few things you need and build a short route between them. A kitchenware purchase, a present and a cafe stop can make a more satisfying visit than a long list of shops to tick off.
Look for specialist knowledge
Cookware, jewellery, flowers, books and hobby shops give the centre a practical side as well as a browsing appeal. A specialist shop can help you compare an item in person or explain whether something can be ordered, repaired or adjusted.
Stock changes, and a website may show products that are not held in the Worcester premises. Contact the shop first if you are travelling for a particular item or need a service at a specific time.
Use the current market location
The weekly Worcester outdoor market moved to the Corn Market in September 2026. The High Street craft markets are a separate operation. Older pages describing the weekly market at Angel Place may therefore send you to the wrong place.
Check the latest organiser or council information for dates and participating traders. A market visit can sit alongside permanent independent shops, rather than replacing a walk through the surrounding streets.
Make the trip work for you
Allow time for the journey between your chosen stops and check current parking or transport arrangements before leaving. Historic streets and individual premises vary in their access; ask a shop directly if you need a particular entrance or facility.
